“Dangers of multitasking” was the subject line of an e-newsletter I subscribe to. What a surprise it was to read that distracted driving causes 8,000 car crashes daily, and more than 5,000 deaths and 400,000 injuries every year. “Many of us have reached the point where we feel so pressed that we risk lives to keep working while driving, writing texts, reading emails, or having important discussions on the phone,“ according to www.coachmeg.com.
I then received the Harvard Health Blog, which featured an article titled, "Multitasking — a medical and mental hazard." It shared a story of a doctor who made a life-threatening mistake because she was distracted when she received a text message from a friend about a party.
So that is the context for this week’s survey. Try not to get distracted before you click the "done" button. The survey is anonymous, so feel free to be honest.
