American Dental Hygienists' Association introduces new communications director

The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) announced Randy Craig as its new director of communications.

The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) announced Randy Craig as its new director of communications. The dental hygiene association said Craig’s responsibilities include overseeing publication of Access magazine and the Journal of Dental Hygiene, the association’s public relations efforts and social media, as well as brand-development and marketing.

Craig holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. Prior to joining ADHA, Craig was the acting director of communications for the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA). He worked for the Inland Press Association for 13 years before moving to the National PTA.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the ADHA team,” Craig said. “I look forward to serving the more than 150,000 registered dental hygienists in this country and helping educate the public about the key role dental hygiene plays in total health care.”

The association, which is very involved in commemorating the dental hygiene’s 100th anniversary, said Craig and the rest of ADHA’s Communications Division would be actively participating in the launch of ADHA’s new website next month.
