Acknowledging the gift in a letter to the foundation’s Executive Director Alan Cohen, Oral Health America’s President and Chief Executive Officer Beth Truett stated: “Our friends at Henry Schein know as well as anyone that more than 10,000 Baby Boomers will reach retirement age every day for the next 19 years, and that while today’s older adults are living longer and enjoy better oral health than previous generations, they are particularly susceptible to oral disease and decay as they age and face chronic and systemic health issues.”

"For this reason, OHA intends to steer the proceeds of this grant towards its signature programs such as the Wisdom Tooth Project, an effort OHA is pioneering as an effort to connect, educate and advocate for the oral health of all older Americans, especially those most vulnerable.”
