Dental chair provided a patent

The HealthChair adjusts to body size, posture support, and frequent user repositioning.

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico--In the precision-driven world of dentistry,
professionals are often seated for hours at a stretch.

Given that, it's notsurprising that products are emerging to promote comfort. What is surprising is that there is a chair so different it has been granted a patent.

Gary Sanchez, DDS, set out to invent his own chair as a result of chronic
back pain. His premise, chairs ought to conform to users rather than vice
versa earned him a patent earlier this year.

"We wanted to change the way people sit. We believe if you sit right, you'll
feel good," Sanchez said.

He explained that The HealthChair patent covers three specifics that allow his chair to adjust to body size, posture support and frequent user repositioning.

The HealthChair, available in various models and fabrics is manufactured in
High Point, N.C. It can be seen online at www.thehealthchair.com.
