New intraoral X-ray systems from Kodak
Building on its popular intraoral X-ray systems, Eastman Kodak Company is introducing a new family of intraoral X-ray units designed to deliver high-quality results with minimum radiation exposure at affordable prices.
The new KODAK 2100 and 2200 Intraoral X-Ray Systems utilize Kodak’s high frequency X-ray technology which reduces the radiation exposure up to 25 percent in comparison with standard generators. The X-ray technology on which both generators are based provides high-level and homogeneous image quality. Both X-ray units are fully designed and manufactured by Kodak, including the X-ray tube, providing a high level of reliability and consistent image quality throughout the entire image chain.
The KODAK 2100 Intraoral X-Ray System (formerly marketed under the TROPHY brand name), is an easy-to-use X-ray unit offering high frequency technology that is affordable for nearly every budget. Equipped with a manual timer and a single adjustment knob, settings may be adjusted quickly and easily. The fixed tension 60 kV X-ray generator provides an excellent compromise between contrast and image definition.

Contact Perfect™ matrix bands from Miltex
Miltex Inc., announces the release of Contact Perfect™ matrix bands. Contact Perfect is a revolutionary new posterior composite matrix system that produces predictable, naturally contoured contact every time. There is no need for aggressive wedging with this system; therefore, the risk of hyper-occlusion and patient sensitivity is reduced. This innovative product features a patent-pending design with removable inter-proximal “windows.” By removing the interproximal barrier, Contact Perfect matrix bands expose the composite resin and allow it to make direct contact with the adjacent tooth, forming tight contacts and natural contours. They are fast and easy to place using a traditional Tofflemire retainer.
Contact Perfect matrix bands are available in three different styles - Universal 2-surface bands, Bicuspid 3-surface bands, and Molar 3-surface bands. They are offered in a package of 24 bands per pack and include a Directions-For-Use chairside card. An introductory pack of 12 bands is also available to help the dentist get started.
