Patients of Colorado dentist advised to get tested for HIV and hepatitis

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued a warning to patients who went to an oral surgeon over the past decade. 8,000 letters have been sent to former patients. They have been advised to get tested for HIV and hepatitis after the doctor was found to have reused syringes and needles during oral and facial surgery procedures and for intravenous (IV) medications, including for sedation.
