Like its predecessor, CAESY at Home, ShowCase lets dentists burn up to 10 CAESY multimedia presentations on a disc for patients to take home and share with friends and family. However, ShowCase goes to the next level in capabilities and has the added feature of interoperability with Patterson EagleSoft practice management software.
"ShowCase is a quantum jump from CAESY at Home," says Chad Broadus, Director of Product Engineering and Support. "With ShowCase, there are now three ways to reinforce case presentation for acceptance. The dentist can present chairside, print, or burn a multimedia CD for the patient to take home to discuss with additional decision makers. Plus case presentations can now include almost unlimited digital images, Word documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, video, audio, and with the EagleSoft interoperability, EagleSoft Treatment Plans."
ShowCase CDs, which are branded with the practice's name, contact information, and website, can be customized for each patient's own health needs. A summary report of the CD project can then be printed out, displaying the patient name, practice name and a list of the presentations on the CD. This report can later be placed in a patient's file to track the presentations they've viewed, serving as informed consent documentation.
