Eleven schools, along with The Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry, will coordinate effort.

BALTIMORE, Maryland--The Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry has developed an exhibition to acknowledge and spotlight dental schools in the U.S. and Canada.

"The project was designed to give dental schools the opportunity to have a vehicle to tell their unique stories and most importantly to have a presence in the congressionally designated museum of the dental profession," explained Rosemary Fetter, Executive Director, NMD.

This exhibition will recognize landmark achievements in dental education and provide information to young persons interested in a career in dentistry. Additionally, alumni, supporters and friends will be able to take pride in their school.

Eleven schools including New York University, University of Alabama, University of Southern California, University of the Pacific, University of Texas San Antonio, Howard University, University of Illinois at Chicago, Columbia University, University of Maryland, University of Florida, and University of Tennessee will be part of the initial launch of the exhibition, which is slated to open June 23 in conjunction with the NMD's 10th Anniversary.

Located in the first floor galleries of the museum, this interactive exhibit will include an overview of each of the participating institutions with a Dean's statement, history and current photographs.
