Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is searching for dental hygiene educator.

The Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, is seeking applications for a full-time, probationary tenure track position in the School of Dental Hygiene commencing July 1, 2007. The position requires a minimum Masters degree, teaching and practice experience, and evidence of scholarly activity.

Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD, or candidates with a PhD program in progress. Academic rank and salary will be based on the successful
candidate's qualifications, experience and achievements. It is expected that the successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in teaching and administration of dental hygiene courses, clinical teaching and scholarly activity.

The successful candidate should also be prepared to assume responsibility for coordination of the baccalaureate degree completion program in its initial stages. All dental hygiene faculty must be eligible for licensure in Nova Scotia as a dental hygienist. If eligible for licensure in Nova Scotia, there will be an opportunity for one day per week of private practice.
