GC Europe organizes forum in Cologne, Germany

On Sept. 18, 2004, GC will have its first Forum in Cologne, Germany on Communication in Aesthetics. GC Europe is organizing this forum in conjunction with Quintessenz publishing. This is a professional conference where specialists in dentistry and dental technology will join forces to support the cause of life-like aesthetics. The dentists and dental technicians goal is to fulfill their patient's aesthetic needs. This forum will cover all aspects of treatment between the practice, laboratory, and, patient for a smooth communication about colors, shades, materials, and techniques for natural looking aesthetics.

This Forum is a one-day event at the Cologne Hotel Dorint in Friesenviertel. It is lead by Stefan Schunke ZTM, Vice-President of the German Association for Esthetic Dentistry. He is speaking on behalf of the technician. Next, Dr. Giuseppe Allais and Walter M. Gehard ZTM will discuss long-distance communication that should no longer be a problem thanks to multimedia and digital equipment. Also, Dr. Galip Gürel, Founder and Chairman of the Turkish Academy for Aesthetic Dentistry (EDAD) and ambassador for the American Board of Esthetic Dentistry, will focus his lecture on the challenging patient. He will offer advice and suggestions for successful consultation and follow-up to ensure that the patient's wishes remain fulfilled. Dr. Jurgen Eberlein, President of GC Europe, explains, "Dentists and dental technicians should benefit equally from our conference. It is only by collaborating and focusing on the patients and their wishes that quality aesthetics and even economic growth for both parties can be achieved in the long term."

Dr. Matthias Kern from Christian-Albrechts University and Siegbert Witkowski ZTM, Laboratory Director at Freiburg University will spend the day discussing issues of cooperation and competition. Also, they will discuss communication using digital images, patient commitment, and color/material matching.

Dr. Gernot Mörig and Micheal Brusch ZTM will talk about possible combinations of new and proven materials for "Aesthetics With A System". Dr. Jan Hajtó and Dental Technician Hubert Schenk will speak about demanding zirconium work, while the implantology specialists Dr. Jan Kielhorn and Klaus Schnellbächer ZTM, will present their views on the material titanium. Zirconium and Titanium are high quality materials that are the latest trends in dental prosthetics.

NOTE: The Hotel Renaissance in Friesenviertel will host "Digitalisation, Construction, Milling" the birth of a CAD/CAM framework and "Titanium and Zirconium materials with a future". The workshop is September 17, 2004. It will be shown live on a big screen at 1 p.m.
