LONG ISLAND CITY, New York--Sirona Dental Systems, Inc., one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-technology dental equipment, has announced the introduction of its new SIROEndo system,
The system is an electronic root canal preparation unit that is adapted to fit directly onto most manufacturers' dental units. A highly precise, easy to use and efficient chairside unit, SIROEndo marks Sirona's latest innovation in intelligent dental technology that is immediately available to the practitioner during treatment.
SIROEndo features a swiveling support arm system that remains within practitioner reach at all times, integrated file system torque control settings, an automatic motor stop function as well as auto-reverse technology and an integrated apex locator for optimum accuracy when measuring the length of the root canal.
Regardless of chair or light manufacturer, the swiveling arm system can be mounted on most supporting light posts. No set up or mobilization of the unit is needed before a treatment session.
"SIROEndo truly is an easy to use and complete solution for dental practitioners doing endodontic work" said Jason Bolt, Marketing Manager, U.S. Instruments Division. Its integrated file system settings, integrated apex locator, Auto-Reverse functionality, and digital display enable highly accurate, safe and efficient endodontics."
SIROEndo's integrated apex locator and Auto-Reverse functions ensure maximum patient safety during treatment. The digital display, as well as audible sounds, educates a user on the approximate distance to the apex. Once working length is reached, the motor switches off automatically.
If the working length is exceeded, the display gives a visual signal. If Auto-Reverse is activated, the file in use reverses direction automatically once the torque is exceeded, preventing the file from jamming or fracturing.
SIROEndo can be used with most standard nickel-titanium and steel file systems. Users simply select the system and file type.
Other features include an easy-to-read display that shows key data automatically; a brushless motor that can be turned on and off by hand, independently of the pedal; and, a hand piece with ISO interface and extra small head that provides the best view of root canal entrances.
SIROEndo is now available for order in the United States. For more details please call (800) 659-5977, or visit www.Sirona.com.
