Quick Scan is a proprietary tools that allows general dentists, orthodontists, oral surgeons, and other specialists to help maximize the clinical information they need while maintaining the ability to control radiation exposure to the patient.With Quick Scan, a patient dentition can be imaged in 3-D for only 27 uSv. This dose compares favorably to a typical digital panoramic scan of 24 uSv yet offers full, three-dimensional radiography of both arches to help provide accurate and distortion-free views not available with 2-D panoramics.New dental treatment tools available with i-CAT systemEspecially useful in orthodontics, the Quick Scan cephalometric-height mode captures anatomy, from chin to nasion—landmarks required for orthodontics, in 3-D for 45uSv. These Quick Scan options provide more information for initial workups and progress checks than 2-D pans and cephs while still maintaining a comparable level of dose. They also provide sufficient data to fully investigate the TMJ complex and airway in three dimensions.
