NewTom VGI

Feb. 7, 2011
Cone Beam CBCT combines high resolution and large FOV in a single machine.
ELMSFORD, New York--ImageWorks, a provider of imaging products to the dental, medical, and veterinary marketplace, has announced that the NewTom VGi has added a new feature. To read more about ImageWorks, go to ImageWorks. The feature allows the 3D scanner unit to capture high-resolution images and large-volume functionality in a single machine. The new collimation will allow the NewTom VGi to obtain resolutions down to a .075 mm voxel, or give the operator the ability to acquire a large 15-cm x15-cm field of view scan when needed. Additionally, it adds four new FOV options, with each of the now seven FOVs having four separate possible voxel sizes. Already known for its image quality among oral and maxillofacial radiologists, imaging centers, and the new entrepreneurial mobile imaging center businesses, the variable FOV feature helps justify the “professional-grade” label of the NewTom VGi.Michael Ellison, director of marketing and sales for NewTom said, “This is one of the most significant upgrades we’ve seen from any cone beam CT manufacturer to date. This new feature pushes the envelope in the industry by adding an even higher resolution to the NewTom VGi, a feature which up to now, was typically seen in only the implant specific or small FOV units. It is now the highest resolution CBCT of all the units in the large FOV category. Anyone who is considering a Cone Beam CT, regardless of specialty, should want to take a look at the NewTom VGi with this amount of flexibility.”For additional information, visit www.imageworkscorporation.com.To comment on this product, go to community.pennwelldentalgroup.com/.
