Zimmer Dental Inc., is pleased to announce the availability of a gold-shaded version of our popular Atlantis™ abutment, providing clinicians with more flexibility in highly esthetic cases to help ensure positive patient outcomes.
"The Atlantis GoldHue abutment with titanium nitrate coating gives a gold color that greatly enhances the esthetics of the case by masking the gray in areas of thin tissue", says Dr. Franklin Jerry Meeks, DDS, from San Antonio, Texas. "It also enhances the color of all porcelain crowns."
The new Atlantis GoldHue abutment can be used with all ceramic restorations or in areas with thin tissue for exceptional esthetic results. The titanium nitride coating is applied after the patient-specific abutment has been milled. Since little or no chairside modification is typically needed, the warm gold color remains in place.
The surface of the Atlantis GoldHue abutment is a 1-3 micron thick layer of titanium nitride bonded to the surface of the milled titanium abutment, thus ensuring a titanium interface at the gingival margin. The anatomical shape of each Atlantis abutment provides the perfect emergence profile in the esthetic zone.
Clinically based computer design and integrated machining produce patient-specific Atlantis abutments with the ideal shape, contours and emergence profile. Virtually identical duplicate abutments can be fabricated, typically eliminating the need for a final impression.
Atlantis abutments are exclusively available from Zimmer Dental for friction-fit internal hex and Spline® implant interfaces and are only available in the U.S. Contact your Zimmer Dental Sales Consultant or Customer Service at (800) 854-7019 for more information.
