Dear RDH eVillage:
I am looking for articles, information, and feedback on a product called ViziLite Plus for oral cancer detection. Is there an insurance code? Can it be charged out? How effective is it?
Dear Arlyn:
First, look for my article titled "The Golden Rule" in this month's RDH magazine. Further, Zila provides a great deal of information and support through its Web site at www.vizilite. Check with Zila to learn more details about the product.
Are you planning to attend RDH's Under One Roof meeting in Las Vegas this July? It is a terrific meeting for learning, CE, and just plain fun! If you haven't attended a UOR session, you have missed something really great. Both Kristine, director of RDH eVillage, and I are presenting hands-on oral cancer courses during that meeting. If you are in the New York area in early June, I will also be presenting a full day on oral cancer and a second course on insurance codes that pertain to hygienists. I have more courses scheduled in other areas too. Please contact me if you want details.
I trust this helps. I still practice clinically and am thrilled we have a product like ViziLite. Early oral cancer detection is my passion since I found squamous cell on my sister seven years ago. ViziLite improves visualization so we can find lesions sooner. We as profession can do so much better.
