SOUTH BEND, Indiana—Heraeus Kulzer, a leader in dental esthetics, ahas nnounced theModern Materials Division’s StatStone Gypsum product line allows dental practices to make patient-specific custom whitening trays.

Heraeus recommends using StatStone, a specially formulated material to create trays in conjunction with the company’s Venus White Pro whitening line. The line was launched in 2010 specifically for use with custom-fabricated trays.

To let dental practices experience how easy it is to fabricate whitening trays, for a limited time, Heraeus will offer a sample package combining one Venus White Pro 16% syringe, an upper and lower Venus White Ultra tray, and a sample package of StatStone.

Fast-setting StatStone gypsum creates finished models in only five minutes. An accurate material with low setting expansion of .07%, StatStone’s ability to deliver speed and precision worksl for in-office, single-visit fabrication of custom bleaching trays for take-home whitening systems such as Venus White Pro.

Other applications well-suited for StatStone’s include temporaries, mouthguards, vacuum-formed splints, and denture repairs.
