CHICAGO, Illinois--The Dental Quality Alliance seeks project proposals from researchers in order to validate performance measures on pediatric oral health.

The projects will test the feasibility, reliability, and validity of DQA measures.

Proposal submission materials are due at 5 p.m. (Central time) Sept. 1, 2012. Proposals will be reviewed by the DQA's Research and Development Advisory Committee, which will also provide project oversight.

To help investigators in preparing proposals, the DQA will hold two webinars: from noon-1 p.m. (Central time) Aug. 3 and Aug. 10.

The ADA established the Dental Quality Alliance in 2010 to develop performance measures for oral health care. A collaboration of major stakeholders in oral health care delivery, the mission of the DQA is to advance performance measurement as a means to improve oral health, patient care, and safety through a consensus-building process.
