Anticavity children's natural toothpaste approved

Tom's of Maine Natural Goofy Grape flavor earns the ADA Seal of Acceptance.

Tom's of Maine has announced that its Natural Goofy Grape Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste Liquid Gel for Children has earned the American Dental Association's Seal of Acceptance.

Goofy Grape joins two other children's toothpastes (Silly Strawberry and Outrageous Orange-Mango) and five adult toothpastes that have earned this recognition. Tom's of Maine remains the only natural toothpaste to have earned the ADA Seal of Acceptance.

"Our scientists and oral health professionals have done a tremendous job creating another highly effective children's toothpaste from natural ingredients," said Tom's of Maine co-founder Tom Chappell.

"Earning the ADA Seal of Acceptance on this product is another step forward in proving that you can make great products that work without using artificial ingredients or sweeteners like saccharine."

Upon announcement of the seal, the ADA stated, "The ADA Council on Scientific Affairs' acceptance of Tom's of Maine Natural Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste is based on its finding that the product is effective in helping to prevent and reduce tooth decay, when used as directed."
