Dr. Pamela Maragliano-Muniz has an informative conversation with her fellow dental professionals Scott Froum, DDS, Michelle Strange, MSDH, and Ron Frezel, VP of marketing at Geistlich Pharma North America. As a prosthodontist, Dr. Maragliano-Muniz says that she teams often with her dental hygienist, implant surgeon, and manufacturers.
She asks Dr. Froum how practice has changed since returning after COVID-19, and he acknowledges the large learning curve. He says that for patients, it’s important to begin by stressing your infection control practices.
Strange acknowledges that hygienists have had to become much more creative in their prevention education and efforts with patients. For one thing, hygienists are looking even more closely at home-care discussions.
From a manufacturer’s perspective, the changes have brought about more opportunities for partnerships with dental professionals, explains Frezel. How can those partnerships benefit everyone?
All of this and much more information will be shared and discussed at the PIA Symposium to be held October 23-24 at the Norris Convention Center in Dallas.
