Dental Ventures of America has introduced a new, nonmetallic, flexible diamond disc for cutting, contouring, and shaping porcelain, lithium-disilicate, or zirconia. To read more about DVA, go to DVA.Fabricated of diamond, DVA Butterfly Discs provide the ability to effectively cut pressable ceramic sprues, then shape and form natural contouring porcelain, lithium disilicate, or other veneering materials without changing burs or discs. Their nonmetal composition is kind to ceramic products and can be used without fear of contaminating or imparting black marks on materials being shaped. They also allow shaping and forming at lower rpms for a cooler surface. Butterfly discs are intended for designing incisal cutbacks, mammellon formations, and trimming marginal edges without chipping the materials. Butterflys wear down uniformly and are usable to the shank. DVA's Butterfly Discs are available in packs of five durable discs for $24.50 per package. A free trial disc is available if one calls DVA at (800) 228-6696 to order a package. For more information, go to www.dentalventures.com.To comment on this product, go to community.pennwelldentalgroup.com/.
