SAN MARCOS, California--Shofu Dental Corporation has announced the addition of a 6-ml bottle presentation for BeautiBond, the company's seventh generation bonding agent. Previously, BeautiBond was available only in a unit dose. But positive sales results, coupled with customer requests, led Shofu to expand its offering. The 6-ml bottle is expected to reach distributors by February 2012, and will be priced the same as the unit dose box to allow customers to choose which offering best suits their needs.Shofu introduces LITE ARTBeautiBond is a seventh generation self-etch, prime, and bond all-in-one product. Dual-functioning monomers (phosphonic acid and carboxylic acid) work independently, achieving equal bond strength to dentin and enamel comparable to sixth generation adhesives. Unlike other adhesives, BeautiBond has an ultra-low film thickness of only 5µm to provide indistinguishable margins.
