ROCK HILL, South Carolina—The KOMET SF849 sonic tip for opening fissures is designed exclusively for use with the KOMET SonicLine sonic handpiece (SF1LM).To read more about KOMET, go to KOMET.Featuring a small-diameter tip, the instrument is operated at low oscillation amplitude for minimally invasive fissure-opening procedures to detect hidden caries, to remove fissure caries, and to prepare fissures for sealant applications.Made in Germany with attention to engineering and clinical requirements, the KOMET SonicLine system comprises a range of high-quality sonic tips that cover a multitude of indications, This includes prophylaxis, crown-preparation procedures, and finishing veneer preparations, as well as the opening of fissures. Special tip labeling allows the user to identify the correct tip for a specific procedure, and laser etching of the order number on the sonic tips facilitates ordering of additional tips as needs arise. Tips coated with fine grain are indicated with a red identification dot.
