MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin--Instrumentarium Dental, Inc. has packaged the Soredex Novus panoramic unit with the OpTime intraoral PSP system to create a Total Digital Solution for less than $35,000

According to Brian Broncatti, vice president of sales and marketing, "The TDS System is being offered at this special price to make it easy for new dentists just setting up a practice or those wishing to upgrade, to make the transition to digital X-ray technology."

The Novus panoramic X-ray unit produces the same digital images as higher- priced units. Its simple, easy-to-use controls allow change between adult and pedo panoramic images with the press of a button. A special MiniDose function ensures that patients receive the minimum radiation dose without compromising image quality.

The OpTime PSP system provides the advantages of instant, chair side imaging without the disadvantages of rigid, uncomfortable sensors. The OpTime has a 4.3-second readout time and automatically identifies the imaging plate size without needing separate adaptors or holders.

For convenience and ease of use, the unit uses standard PSP imaging plates in sizes 0, 1, 2 and 3. An automatic plate erasing system is built in.
