ROCK HILL, South Carolina--KOMET USA's titanium abutments cutters are now available in a six-instrument starter kit.
Designed in collaboration with Jan-Holger Bellmann, CDT, Kit TD2041 contains six tungsten carbide cutters. These instruments, to be used in a laboratory turbine, work on titanium abutments and should be followed by a matching finishing bur identified with a red ring.
Shaping (black ring) burs come in three different sizes: H373Q.314.021, H371Q.214.025 and H376Q.314.025. Finishing (red ring) burs are also available in three different sizes: H373F.314.021, H371F.314.025 and H376F.314.025.
Shaping and finishing burs come in the standard cone angles of 0, 2 and 4 degrees, and all have a rounded tip. Their coarse, cross-cut toothing cuts tough titanium without clogging.
Using these burs and the proper turbine allows laboratory technicians to experience the impact by spending less time shaping titanium abutments rather than using ordinary cutters in the milling device.
Kit TD2041 also allows the technician greater flexibility by reducing the amount of instruments needed to work in titanium abutments in the laboratory.
