ELGIN, Illinois--Dentsply Rinn has announced the availability of a new universal ring and arm positioning system: RINN XCP-ORA.

Designed as a three-in-one positioner suitable for correctly aligning RINN XCP Film and Sensor bite blocks, the RINN XCP-ORA design allows dentists to achieve anterior, posterior, and bitewing X-ray positioning with only one ring and arm.

This reduces the number of positioning pieces in the dental office, minimizes autoclave loading due to a reduced number of positioning devices, and simplifies the radiographic alignment procedure.

RINN XCP-ORA One Ring & Arm Positioning System features these benefits:

* Patented red, yellow, and blue color coding for ease of use
* Lightweight construction for patient comfort
* Only two components needed for anterior, posterior, and bitewing positioning
* Rugged, durable autoclavable construction for low cost per use
* Compact design is easily stored in drawer
* Raised alignment guides for U.S. and European-sized collimators

"RINN XCP-ORA One Ring & Arm positioning system is a mus- have if you want to reduce clutter in your operatory," said Kim Brown, marketing manager for Dentsply Rinn.

"Compatible with all XCP film and sensor biteblocks, the XCP-ORA represents the first major redesign of one of the world's most popular X-ray positioning systems, XCP. With the new patent-pending three-in-one design, the number of elements needed for accurately placing X-ray media is dramatically reduced. Incorporating our patented color-coded system provides a fast visual confirmation for proper placement and alignment."
