These indications include crown and bridge cementation, core build-ups, and post cementation.
Recent empirical findings suggest that applying ParaBond Adhesive before cementation will provide sealing properties to protect the restoration from marginal microleakage and prevent the possible risk of postoperative clinical complications.
An independent in vitro study performed by Dr. Brian Millar, et. al. at King's College London demonstrated that all-ceramic crowns cemented with self-adhesive resin cements without bonding application prior to cementation, could present a higher risk of marginal microleakage between the tooth and restorative material.
This could potentially lead to postoperative complications such as bond failure, secondary caries, chronic inflammation, discoloration, and pulpal pathology.
Since ParaCore automix 5-ml advocates the application of ParaBond Adhesive prior to cementation, an effective seal is created to protect the restoration against marginal microleakage and minimize the risk of postoperative complications.
In addition to core buildups and post cementation, ParaCore automix 5-ml has been approved for crown and bridge cementation. Using one material for cementation and core buildups provides an optimal "monoblock bond interface" between the post-cement-dentin-crown. This results in one cohesive restoration with durability and strength.
