SATELEC piezo ultrasonic devices, P5 Newtron and P5 Newtron XS, are available with an autoclavable LED light handpiece to gain in visibility, working comfort and performance.
The P5 Newtron comprises four versions.
P5 Newtron provides the benefits of Newtron technology and the ergonomics of the patented color coding system. Newtron technology enables the electronics to adjust the amplitude of the single-plane oscillations of the tips "just in time."
This is called Cruise Control and results in a smooth, constant vibration, efficiency, and precision for the environment and/or treatment performed.
To ensure safety during use, each tip is fitted with a color ring to identify the ideal power setting for the tip used on the color power control dial.
In addition to all the advantages of P5 Newtron, the new P5 Newtron LED is equipped with an autoclavable Newtron LED light handpiece. The ring of six high-power LEDs produces a strong light intensity (100,000 Lux) and provides visibility of the treatment area, even in posterior zones.
The cold light generated by these LEDs works with loupes or under a microscope and helps to better differentiate between soft-tissue types. P5 Newtron XS has the advantages of P5 Newtron, but also features a self-contained irrigation system for total autonomy.
This system enables the delivery of various irrigants--sterile saline solution, chlorhexidine or sodium hypochlorite--from a large-capacity 300-ml tank that is quickly refilled, even during treatment directly to the treatment area. This reduces significantly the development of pathogenic bacteria.
P5 Newtron XS LED is the full-option device. It is equipped with self-contained irrigation and an autoclavable LED light handpiece for autonomy, comfort, and performance.
Finally, for surgical treatments requiring a totally sterile environment, the optional Sterikit enables asepsis by setting up an external irrigation line easily on the pump axis of the generator. The Sterikit is available as an option on P5 Newtron XS and P5 Newtron XS LED.
