BREA, California--VITA's clinically proven machinable ceramics are now offered in disc form for open CAD/CAM Systems.
The discs fit most open CAD/CAM Systems, making them convenient and economical to process with materials. Available in VITA In-Ceram YZ, VITA CAD-Temp, and CAD-Waxx, the VITA discs are manufactured using dry pressing procedures. This help promotes an assured uniformity, regardless of thickness.
Featuring a diameter of 98 mm and a height of 14, 18 or 20 mm, the VITA In-Ceram YZ Discs work for multi-unit bridge structures with long spans. Up to 40 single restorations can be milled or cut with open CAD/CAM systems, permitting use of the material.
With a flexural strength benefit of more than 900 MPa and a fracture toughness of 5.9 MPa, VITA In-Ceram YZ Discs are strong. Made of zirconium dioxide partially stabilized with yttrium, the biocompatible material in the VITA In-Ceram YZ Discs offers high corrosion resistance and low thermal conductivity.
Each disc is identified with the enlargement factor clearly printed on it, which aids in the milling of restorations and helps promote an assured fit. VITA In-Ceram YZ Discs are backed by a 10-year warranty.
Intended for long-term temporary restorations for open CAD/CAM systems, VITA CAD-Temp Discs are made of machinable polymer composite material that has a blend of strength and elasticity. VITA CAD-Temp Discs exhibit lasting color stability and natural fluorescence in several monocolor shades.
The esthetics and easy shade-matching make the discs a choice for multiple treatment indications, particularly for implant patients where long-term tissue healing is prescribed. Since the discs are compatible with provisional cements, there is no need to change current temporary cementation products or techniques.
VITA CAD-Waxx Discs are a millable, filler-free acrylate polymer that can be used in place of wax for producing full-contour restorations. This pliable material is easier to work with than wax and helps eliminate the manual wax-up process and marginal "creep".
VITA CAD-Waxx Discs are indicated for copings and bridge frameworks using the lost wax technique and can be used for the fabrication of surgical stents. The marginal accuracy of restorations can be checked intraorally before the final restoration is produced. This helps eliminate remakes due to poor marginal fit.
