KOMET USA debuts new acrylic lab bur block

Feb. 5, 2010
The block allows technicians to organize and arrange rotary instruments easier.

ROCK HILL, South Carolina--KOMET USA has introduced a new bur block for laboratory technicians.

The block allows technicians to organize and arrange rotary instruments easier.

The bur block (150.529) was developed in conjunction with Ilja-Roman Niemczyk. It provides the technician a bur block that is esthetically and functionally pleasing.

The block, made of acrylic, is transparent and has a modern design. Due to its transparency, items that are placed behind it are still within view.

The block comes with a nonslip base and can hold up to 50 rotary instruments with handpiece shank. Its 45°-angled design allows an unobstructed view of every instrument it holds and facilitates reaching instruments.

If more than 50 instruments must be stored, the technician can connect additional bur blocks to each other or to the existing nonslip base.
