New forceps from Miltex have tapered beaks that are designed for subgingival access to the tooth.

YORK, Pensylvania--Miltex, Inc. has announced the release of its new Grip Deep 151 Extracting Forceps. The forceps are an extension of the Grip Deep line that debuted in 2006.

Miltex is a leading manufacturer of hand-held surgical and dental instruments sold through authorized distributors to the health-care market.

The forceps are made from quality German stainless steel and have tapered beaks that are designed for subgingival access to the tooth. The beaks are also serrated, allowing for better gripping of the tooth surface.

These two features combine to reduce the risk of fracturing the root and crown structures as well as reduce the trauma caused to the surrounding hard and soft tissues.

The Grip Deep extracting forceps have also been designed with a take-apart feature to aid in the thorough cleaning and sterilization of the instruments. The forceps have a right and left side, which can be separated to ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of the hinge area.
