NADL honors award winners

National Association of Dental Laboratories honored outstanding contributors to dental laboratory technology Jan. 17, 2014, at the annual Vision 21 Meeting.

TALLAHASSEE, Florida--The National Association of Dental Laboratories honored outstanding contributors to dental laboratory technology Jan. 17, 2014, at the annual Vision 21 Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Winners were nominated by their peers and were selected based on an objective point system.

NADL Awards included:

NADL Supplier Member of the Year
Zahn Dental – Melville, N.Y.

This award is presented to an NADL member manufacturer/supplier company that has made significant contributions and demonstrated leadership in relation to working in the dental laboratory industry.

NADL Educator of the Year
Renata Budny, CDT, TE – New York City College of Technology, Brooklyn, N.Y.

This award is presented to an individual educator who has made outstanding contributions in an area of formal dental technology education.

NADL Excellence in Education
Craig Pickett, CDT, TE – Whip Mix Corporation, Louisville, Ky.

This award is presented to a dental laboratory professional that has provided services to the dental laboratory industry in the furtherance of education.

NADL Merit Award for Outstanding Achievements
Dr. C. William D’Aiuto – D'Aiuto Dental, Longwood, Fla.

This award honors an individual for achievements made on behalf of NADL nationally and for the industry at large.

NADL Harry Hagman, CDT Inventors Award
Bob Rusler – Indiana Dental Prosthetics, Inc., Indianapolis, Ind.

This award is presented to an individual who holds a US patent or copyright which brings new and innovative tools, materials, or processing methods to the dental laboratory industry.

2014 CDT of the Year
Wilma R. Peterson, CDT – Glidewell Laboratory, CDL, Newport Beach, Calif.

The National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology recognizes an individual Certified Dental Technician (CDT) who has made contributions to his/her peers and the dental laboratory profession, and has gone above and beyond the call of duty.

The National Association of Dental Laboratories is a trade association representing dental laboratories. NADL is the unified voice for the dental laboratory industry, supporting the dental profession and serving the public interest by promoting high standards.
