S-Ray has announce the company's first licensing agreement.
The license, granted to Dental GPS, allows for worldwide use of S-Ray’s Ultrasound Digital Impression System.
The UDIS, part of a full-mouth smile design system, digitally maps a patient’s dental anatomy. This increases accuracy and readability of the resulting image. UDIS’s digital imaging reduces time, labor, and material costs by rendering conventional dental impression materials and stone casts obsolete.

“Though we plan to attach the UDIS to equipment such as CAD/CAM systems, Dental GPS is an ideal partner for our portable iPhone form factor device,” said Steve Baird, CEO of S-Ray.
“This is another example of how moving digital dentistry into the Cloud increases portability and rapid case acceptance while lowering costs.”
Dental GPS, a Canadian-based software company, is on the leading edge of digital imaging technology and smile design.
“We look forward to announcing additional partnerships with the leaders in the digital dentistry revolution,” Baird added.
