Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. has announced that Korean regulatory authorities have granted marketing approval for the company's Stage-1Single Stage Dental Implant System. Lifecore's Oral Restorative Division's products are distributed in Korea by the Suh-Chun MDS Corporation. Korean sales represent approximately 22 percent of Lifecore's international dental implant sales. Korean shipments of the new system will begin immediately.
Mr. Y. S. Cho, President of Suh-Chun MDS Corporation, indicated, "Several months of lead time will be required for full introduction of the Stage-1(TM) System but I believe this could enhance our sales volume by 15 percent."
Lifecore Biomedical manufactures biomaterials and medical devices for use in various surgical markets and provides specialized contract aseptic manufacturing services.
