Florida dentist arrested for practicing without a license

Collier County deputies Tuesday arrested a man they said performed dental procedures out of his Naples garage without a license.

Juan Diego Garcia, 32, was arrested on two felony charges of practicing dental hygiene and operating a dental office without a license, according to a Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

A patient of Garcia’s, after scheduling a dental cleaning and examination, met Garcia in a Publix’s parking lot and was driven to his Hawthorn Woods Way home, according to the report. Garcia had dental equipment set up in his garage, including an examination chair, a moveable overhead light, x-ray machine, syringes and drills.
