World's largest cosmetic dental organization nears 8,000 members in 60 countries.

MADISON, Wisconsin--For the fourth consecutive year, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry has reached a record membership level.

As of Jan. 10, the AACD has 7,806 members in more than 60 countries worldwide. This number represents the most in the academy's 22-year history.

"Only five years ago, AACD's membership stood at just over 4,000 members," said AACD President Dr. Marty Zase. "The fact that our membership base has nearly doubled in such a short timeframe underscores the cosmetic dental boom, and solidifies AACD's position as the world's leading organization for advancing excellence in cosmetic dentistry."

AACD programs include:

* Accreditation: Cosmetic dentistry's most recognized advanced credentialing program

* Annual Scientific Session: Cosmetic dentistry's most comprehensive CE event, Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry 2007, takes place May 14-19, 2007 in Atlanta, GA.

* The Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry: AACD's highly regarded clinical journal

* Give Back A Smile(tm): Restoring the smiles - and the lives - of survivors of domestic violence

More evidence of AACD's growth and impact in the cosmetic dental field includes:

* Official AACD affiliates have been established in Britain, Canada, Germany, Greece, Iran, Paris, New Zealand, and Sweden

* The Annual AACD Scientific Session has also set record attendance figures for four consecutive years, and is on pace to do so again in Atlanta.

* AACD's Charitable Foundation has donated over $3.5 million in services to survivors of domestic violence through the Give Back A Smile program.
