Brushing your teeth without some type of interdental cleaning is like taking a shower without washing your armpits, right? ;) Drs. Pamela Maragliano-Muniz and Howard Glazer offer suggestions you can share with your patients.

In the last episode of Success in 7 Minutes, Dr. Howard Glazer and I talked about toothbrushes—electric versus manual. In this video, will discuss the importance of interdental cleaning and offer some suggestions you can share with your patients. Brushing your teeth without some type of interdental cleaning is like taking a shower without washing your armpits, right? 😜

Establishing good habits early on is the best thing you can do for your patients. Interdental cleaning can be accomplished with water flossers and manual floss aids—and don’t overlook the benefits of oral irrigation under bridges and in and around dental implants. Most importantly, you must work with patients on the type of interdental cleaning device they will actually use.
