Applications are now being accepted for the 2014 ADAA/DANB Scholarship. The American Dental Assistants Association (ADAA) and the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB) launched the scholarship program in 2013 as a way to help dental assistants realize their professional development plans.
The scholarship will be awarded to dental assistants who demonstrate a strong commitment to career growth and lifelong learning. The winner(s) will be able to use the scholarship funds for professional activities, such as continuing dental education, DANB exams or certification, expenses associated with ADAA Fellowship or Mastership, or registration for a dental conference, among other possible activities.
“DANB believes in lifelong learning and promoting the dental assisting profession,” said DANB Board Chair Frank Maggio, DDS. “We are excited to continue working with ADAA to offer this scholarship to help dental assistants achieve their goals.”
Applications will be accepted through July 15, 2014, and the winner(s) will be announced at the 2014 ADAA Annual Session in October.
