Dental assistants: Recognize your success!

Feb. 19, 2014
Dental Assistants' Recognition Weeks is March 2-8

Dental Assistants Recognition Week (DARW) is just around the corner. The weeklong observance — from March 2-8 — is hosted by the American Dental Association, the American Dental Assistants Association, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Canadian Dental Assistants Association.

DARW is a time to recognize the achievements and contributions of dental assistants. This year’s theme is “Dental assisting: embracing the changes of the profession” – and it certainly is appropriate. For many years, we have seen exciting changes in the field, with dental assistants playing a key role on the dental team. Some assistants have advanced in their careers to perform expanded functions, while others have chosen to move into dental assisting education or consulting, work for a dental product manufacturer or distributor, or perhaps hold a front office or dental practice management position.

Dental assistants have more career paths and opportunities today than ever before. Whatever route you take, setting goals and defining your success is a very personal decision. Whether your goal is to earn DANB’s Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification, earn a state certificate or license, or strengthen your front office skills, continuing education is the key to unlock your dreams.

To show our support for dental assistants in every step of their career, we’re offering a special DARW promotion. From now through the month of March, you can receive 10 percent off your order from the DALE Foundation using the code below.
