The DALE Foundation’s Liz Koch Memorial Scholarship can help you reach your professional goals
Whether your professional goals include increasing your responsibilities in your office or earning DANB certification, professional development will play an important role in your career. The DALE Foundation’s Liz Koch Memorial Scholarship is intended to help oral health-care professionals reach their professional development goals and support their mentorship activities. This scholarship provides support for career advancing activities like enrolling in college courses; registering for state, regional or national dental conferences; earning DANB certification; and purchasing continuing education courses.
Winners will receive between $250 and $1,000 each, plus access to three continuing education products of their choice from the DALE Foundation catalog. The scholarship is open to all dental assistants, DANB certificants and other oral health-care professionals, and winners will be chosen based on their interest in and commitment to the oral health-care profession, as well as mentorship experiences. Last year’s winners were Rebecca Horne, CDA, COA, who used her award to earn DANB’s Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) certification, and Kandra Luna, CDA, EFDA, EFODA, who applied the funds toward her DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification.
The DALE Foundation launched this scholarship last year to honor Liz Koch and her many years of service and contributions in support of dental assistants. Liz believed in the potential of DANB and the DALE Foundation, but even more so, she believed in the potential of others. This memorial scholarship embodies Liz’s values and belief in the power of lifelong learning.
