For improved comfort and maneuvering, the Oral-B Sonic Complete has a slim, lightweight handle and soft gum bumpers that cushion teeth and gums for added comfort.

The Gillette Company has launched the new Oral-B® Sonic Complete power rechargeable toothbrush, Oral-B's first entry into the sonic category. While the clinical advantages of oscillating-rotating power toothbrushes have been proven, professionals now have a comprehensive collection of top-performing options from oral care leader, Oral-B, when making recommendations to patients. The Oral-B Sonic Complete complements the oral care leader's existing line of clinically-proven power toothbrushes preferred by many dentists and patients, including the Oral-B ProfessionalCare 7000 series.

"Oral-B recognizes that dental professionals benefit from a variety of recommendation options for their patients," said Bruce Cleverly, president, Gillette Oral Care. "As the worldwide leader in oral health, it is incumbent upon us to offer professionals a complete portfolio of top-performing products in all segments -- manual, battery, oscillating-rotating and now sonic."

For patients who prefer a sonic toothbrush, Oral-B Sonic Complete is designed for complete mouth care. With its unique patient customization and design features, Oral-B Sonic Complete has been clinically proven to significantly reduce plaque, gingivitis and stain in just four weeks.

Oral-B Sonic Complete includes three brushing modes so that the teeth, gums and tongue are cleaned as effectively as possible. In the clean mode, the side-to-side vibration motion cleans the gumline and teeth by removing plaque bacteria. The soft mode brushes with a reduced speed vibration especially for sensitive teeth, gums and the tongue. For stimulation of gum tissue, patients can use the massage mode with a rhythmic vibration.

An advance in brushhead technology, innovative CrissCross™ bristles are designed to better clean between teeth and sweep away plaque, especially in hard to reach areas. For improved comfort and maneuvering, the Oral-B Sonic Complete has a slim, lightweight handle and soft gum bumpers that cushion teeth and gums for added comfort.

Consumer testing conducted by Oral-B indicates that 61 percent of patients who expressed a preference prefer Oral-B Sonic Complete over sonicare® Elite. Additionally, Oral-B Sonic Complete was favored for its key attributes, including cleaning along the gum line and having a pleasant mouth feel.

Beginning in June 2004, the Oral-B Sonic Complete will be available to dental professionals for $59.95 and will include two brushheads, a travel case and a storage tower charger.
