CHADDS FORD, Pennsylvania--ADSTRA Systems Inc. has introduced ADSTRA Charting M4.

The product which takes advantage of the increased robustness and security provided by the Microsoft SQL database and allows user-controlled off-site backup.

ADSTRA Charting software provides a charting system that allows dentists to create examinations, treatment, and treatment plan charts for deneral, restorative, endodontic, and periodontal dentistry.

ADSTRA Charting M4 provides formatting tools for freehand text fields. These include custom exam and tooth notes screens; editing tools such as Cut, Copy, and Paste; formatting tools such as Bold, Italic, and Color; and Spell Check using medical dictionaries in English, French, and Spanish.

Also new for ADSTRA Charting M4 is the ability to increase possible recession/pocket depth to greater than 9 mm using short cuts and to set user-definable possible values for canals/surfaces for endodontic and periodontal tools. The software allows material selection to be optional for an implant without a crown.

ADSTRA Charting M4 tools, covering general, restorative, endodontic, and periodontal headings, include a diverse assortment of treatment options. Existing conditions, completed treatments, and planned treatments can all be tracked.

All charting is represented graphically, making comparisons of patient exams quick and easy. The new M4 software includes support for Windows Vista.
