Software provides dental professionals with an easy and efficient means to communicate with each other throughout the office via the computer system network.

CHADDS FORD, Pennsylvania--ADSTRA Systems has released Version 8 of its ADSTRA popCOM Office Communication Software.

The software provides dental professionals with an easy and efficient means to communicate with each other throughout the office via the computer system network. Version 8 offers several additional features, including an automatic time stamp for received messages.

ADSTRA popCOM Version 8 gives the user the ability to choose a ready-made response to a received message. To reply to a received message, the user can either type a custom message or select a pre-defined message from the drop down menu, saving time.

The user simply double clicks inside the message display area to send the reply. The reply message will then display below the initial received message.

ADSTRA popCOM Version 8 also displays an automatic time stamp on received messages, for better communications management and evaluation of response times. When a received message appears on the screen, a time stamp is displayed below the message indicating the exact time the message was sent.

ADSTRA popCOM software allows user preferences to be tailored by both the office and the individual workstations within the practice. The text of each message can be customized with color to highlight urgent messages, identify the sender, or to alert the recipient of an appointment.

Users can define a default state for their individual workstations and can decide where they want their messages to appear, how long the text remains on the screen, and whether or not a particular sound is used to announce a message has arrived.
