CHARLOTTE, North Carolina--Xlear, an industry leader for xylitol-based products, has donated more than $80,000 in gumball machines and gumballs containing xylitol to National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy.
As a result of this donation, 74 NCOHF affiliates have received a Spry gumball machine and gumballs to share with patients. The NCOHF affiliate network consists of community-based nonprofit programs dedicated to providing the best educational, preventive, and restorative services for underserved children in need of care.
“Xlear commends National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy for their efforts to promote oral health for at-risk children and their families,” stated Blaine Yates, CEO of Xlear.
“We are thrilled to provide NCOHF: America’s ToothFairy affiliates with a resource for encouraging the use of xylitol among their patients to help prevent caries in underserved populations.”
Added Fern Ingber, NCOHF president and CEO: “Breaking the devastating cycle of childhood tooth decay starts with prevention. This innovative contribution from Xlear provides members of the NCOHF: America’s ToothFairy affiliate network with a decay-fighting alternative to traditional gumballs to offer their patients. We are so grateful to Xlear for creating the Spry gumball machines for our affiliates and their ongoing support of our smile-saving mission.”
