Philips Oral Healthcare has introduced the Sonipod, a new hand-held device enabling oral care professionals to see the unique features of the Sonicare toothbrush.
The Sonipod contains a quadrant of model teeth surrounded by fluid under a translucent blue plastic housing. Located on the front of the Sonipod is a row of LED "strobe" lights, which can be adjusted to slow the bristle motion of the Sonicare, demonstrating the gentle, wide-sweeping action of the brush. When the Sonicare is held against the housing at the recommended 45-degree brushing angle, dynamic fluid action can be observed around and between the teeth. The Sonicare toothbrush creates this fluid action when it comes in contact with water, saliva, and toothpaste in the mouth, enhancing the cleaning capabilities of the brush in hard-to-reach areas such as between the teeth and below the gum line.
For additional information on the Sonipod or to find out how to order the Sonipod, call (800) 676-SONIC or visit www.sonicare.com/sonipod.
