ROCHESTER, N.Y.--Three digital imaging products from Eastman Kodak Company have received the prestigious iF Seal of Design Excellence.

The KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR 7500 System, along with the KODAK EASYSHARE P850 and P880 digital cameras, earned the highly regarded 2006 iF Product Design honors.

Showcased at the annual CeBIT technology fair in Germany, the iF Design exhibition showcases a range of cutting-edge product designs, ranging from cellular phones to sleek luxury sports cars.

In 2006, the design organization said, just less than 2,000 products submitted from 37 countries competed for an iF award. Kodak's award-winning entries "successfully asserted (themselves) in a first-rate, highly international competitive environment," the organization said.

The 20 iF design jurors judged products in 12 categories including consumer electronics, computers, lighting, household/residential, and leisure/lifestyle products. Since 1953, the iF design award has served as a prestigious trademark for outstanding design, and many manufacturers incorporate the red iF logo in product packaging and literature.

All iF design award products will be presented at the iF design exhibition, which runs until September. More than 300,000 international visitors are expected to view the exhibit. The Kodak products recognized with the iF Design Award of Excellence include:

*The KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR 7500 System, a modular digital radiology system that enables medical facilities to configure a digital x-ray solution that meets their individual requirements. The system features a unique wall stand capable of three-axis movement to capture a wide range of upright, horizontal and cross-table projections. The system also features a fixed, elevating table with four-way float that provides flexible patient positioning. Auto-positioning capability moves the equipment to predefined positions with a press of a button.

*The KODAK EASYSHARE P850 camera, a five-megapixel compact camera featuring imaging stabilization and a 12X optical zoom lens.

*The KODAK EASYSHARE P880 camera, an eight-megapixel model with a zoom range of 24-140 mm (35mm equivalent).

"When design and functionality are interwoven, the resulting products deliver uncompromised usability and performance," said Paul W. Porter, Director of Corporate Design & Usability at Kodak.

"These three products demonstrate Kodak's design and innovation leadership, and we're honored that our Health Group products, as well as our Consumer Digital Group products, were recognized by the iF panel of design experts."
