Specialized sales force aimed specifically at supporting VITA denture teeth.

BREA, California--Vident has hired a specialized sales force aimed specifically at supporting VITA denture teeth.

The move is the latest in a concerted effort to make it easier for dentists and dental laboratories to discover the value of VITA teeth, and comes on the heels of their recent move to exclusive dealer distribution with Zahn Dental, a Henry Schein company, and Hi-Tec Dental.

"This is the next logical step in enhancing the service and support of VITA teeth," said Bill Sundheimer, president and chief operating officer at Vident, "the dealers supply the exemplary service and Vident supplies the technical knowledge that dealers and customers can tap into."

Dennis Urban, CDT, denture products sales manager, and the Vident denture specialists will travel across the United States and Canada lecturing and co-traveling with dealer reps to ensure that customers are gaining the knowledge and high level of service they expect when using premium VITA teeth.

Currently, there are two lines of quality VITA anterior and posterior denture teeth: VITA Physiodens and Vitapan. Physiodens teeth feature a highly anatomical occlusal design and are ideal for lingualized occlusal setup techniques. The Physiodens teeth size and morphology is excellent for partials or combination cases where matching existing natural teeth is important.

Vitapan denture teeth are ergonomic, simple and rational and feature outstanding physical properties. Vitapan acrylic material is based on a specific match of cross-linked polymer content and organic additives, resulting in a patented material that offers premium esthetics and proven wear resistant denture teeth.

The impact resistance and innate elasticity of the material creates a tooth that can be ground without chipping. A result of the patented polymerization is reduced water absorption and reduced plaque affinity.

All VITA denture teeth demonstrate high polishability with no porosities and offer a degree of translucency, opalescence and fluorescence that correspond to natural teeth.

Age-specific fine enamel cracks, calcification marks and dentine clouds are manually added to anterior VITA teeth to further enhance their natural appearance.

Vident has been a provider of innovative dental products since 1985 and is the North American representative of VITA, manufacturer of the internationally recognized VITA Classical Shade Guide, 3D-Master Shade System and quality VITA materials.
