Company tops market in intraoral X-ray sales

According to recent Dental Trade Alliance large equipment reports, Progeny Dental is in leading position.

BUFFALO GROVE, Illinois--Progeny Dental is the leading U.S. manufacturer of intraoral X-ray systems, according to the Dental Trade Alliance 2006 Q2 and Q3 Large Equipment Reports.

The most recent DTA report shows Progeny in a leading position with 27 percent of the intraoral x-ray market share and unit sales up more than 86 percent over 3Q 2005.

CEO Ed McDonough attributes the company's rapid growth to "our absolute commitment to product quality and innovation, and to strong customer and technical support for our customers. Our Preva DC and JB-70 dental X-rays are designed to deliver the highest level possible in imaging excellence and productivity," he said.

Only four years after launching its first product, the JB-70, and 18 months after introduction of the Preva DC, Progeny has become the leading manufacturer of intraoral dental X-ray systems in the United States. Founded in 2001, Progeny also manufactures intraoral cameras and digital sensor systems.
