Gauen, Hampp, and Ruotolo appointed to new positions.
This week, Centrix Dental (Shelton, Connecticut) announced the new account manager appointments.
- Mark Ruotolo has been promoted to regional account manager for the Northeast.
- Nick Gauen joins Centrix to manage key distribution partners.
- Tony Hampp is now sales manager of special markets.

Mark Ruotolo promoted to regional account manager for the Northeast
“Consistently strong inside sales and sales team leader for Centrix”
Mark Ruotolo has been promoted to regional account manager (RAM) for preferred dealers in the Northeast, having previously held positions as an inside sales representative and sales team leader for Centrix. He will assume responsibility for the Northeast territory effective April 2015.
Centrix is very pleased to move Mark into the RAM position, as he is a valued employee who has consistently delivered great results in every challenge he’s taken on at the company. He’s been recognized for his achievements every year since joining the company in 2011, first as “Rookie of the Year,” then “Most New Customers,” “Highest Net Sales,” and most recently as “Employee of the Year” for 2014. We know Mark will take great care of the existing client base he has in the Northeast and will continue to seek out partnerships with new customers as well. He is enthusiastic, energetic and committed to building the Northeast territory.
Previously, Mark was in sales and client acquisition for Hilti North America and Toyota Motor Corporation. Mark is also a military veteran, having served four years as a member of an amphibious assault vehicle crew for the United States Marine Corps.

Top sales performer Nick Gauen Joins Centrix to manage key distribution partners
The latest addition to the Centrix team, Nick Gauen will be a strong asset to our network of preferred distributor partners in the Northwest and western Canada. Nick will support strategic dealer relationships in Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and western Canada.
Nick joins Centrix from ZocDoc where he held various sales management roles including mid-market sales manager, selling to dental and physician groups, and relationship manager for new markets and strategic accounts. He has previously worked in sales, marketing, and consulting for Yelp, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, and Red Bull, among others. Nick consistently ranks as a top sales producer across multiple product lines, sales cycles, and organizations, and has proven to be a valued resource for his customers and trusted leader to his co-workers. He is known as a fast-starter, highly knowledgeable, and goal-driven sales professional.
Nick has been tasked with expanding strategic relationships with Centrix preferred distribution partners throughout the northwest United States and western Canada. In that role, he will help to educate the dealer sales force as well as dentists and their office staff, demonstrating the clear advantages of the growing Centrix product line.

Centrix promotes Toby Hampp to sales manager special markets
Brings extensive market and product line knowledge to the position
Toby Hampp has been promoted to sales manager special markets for Centrix to focus primarily on dental service organizations, dental schools, government facilities, and community health organizations. His objectives will be to bring increased market share and to actively promote Centrix products by partnering with members of the dental industry, as well as service organizations, government entities, community health clinics, and corporate clients. In addition to sales, Toby will be responsible for ongoing training and education within these customer segments, sharing the product knowledge he has gained over 10 years working at Centrix.
Throughout his career at Centrix, Toby has maintained close relationships with dentists, dealer sales teams, and corporate sales to ensure Centrix is consistently bringing to market products that focus on practice care so dental professionals can focus on patient care. As a contributing member to the research and development process within Centrix, Toby’s technical expertise has proven a valuable asset to Centrix.
Toby joined Centrix in 2003 as an account representative and product specialist, helping to bring on board new sales and marketing employees and conduct product and dental anatomy training. He also provided direct sales support to end-users in this capacity. Toby was subsequently promoted to regional area manager for the Northeast, responsible for reseller and channel member sales support for the more than 300 innovative dental products made by Centrix.
