As NADP Board Chairman, Swanker will be responsible for helping determine the Board agenda and areas in which the association should focus, as well as providing strategic leadership in meeting the challenges confronting the dental industry today.

“Chris has not only shown his leadership and commitment to the growth of the dental industry within the NADP, but has also been at the forefront of the dental industry’s efforts to navigate health care reform,” says NADP Executive Director Evelyn F. Ireland, CAE. “We are pleased to welcome Chris in his new role as our Board Chairman and look forward to working with him to help identify new opportunities as the landscape around the dental industry continues to evolve.”
Swanker was elected to NADP’s Board of Directors in the fall of 2011 and became Board Vice Chairman in the fall of 2012. He also currently serves as the vice chair of the NADP’s Health Care Reform Task Force. Swanker has been recognized as a three-time Star Award recipient by the NADP for his outstanding volunteer contributions in areas ranging from communication to Health Care Reform.
“In this time of dramatic change in the dental benefits industry, it is important for Guardian to be active in helping to shape the future marketplace,” said Swanker. “There is no better way to do this than to participate at the highest levels within the industry's primary association. I have found my time working with the NADP of great value to me personally and to the work I do at Guardian. I am excited to continue our collaboration in my new role as Board Chairman.”
Swanker is one of 12 Guardian employees currently serving in 17 volunteer roles for the NADP.
