Rasin named vice president, general counsel and secretary.

YORK, Pennsylvania--DENTSPLY International has announced tha the appointment of Deborah Rasin as vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective March 7, 2011.

Rasin succeeds Brian Addison, who will remain in a part-time role as special Ccunsel. In her role, Rasin will oversee legal affairs of the company and assume corporate secretary duties. She will be a senior member of the executive team, responsible for management and oversight of activities of the legal department.

Rasin previously served as vice president -legal, general counsel and secretary of Samsonite, and subsequently was a partner in a private law practice in London, England. Prior to joining Samsonite, Rasin spent nine years as a senior commercial and corporate attorney for General Motors, where she served as general counsel of several business units and subsidiaries. Rasin earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Harvard Law School and an undergraduate degree also from Harvard.
